Some Suffolk Secrets please

I am just planning our trip to Suffolk.  We are going to go to Colchester Zoo for the day, then travel to Ipswich and stay overnight.  Then we are going to go up to Southwold and work our way back down to Ipswich, stay overnight again before making our way home.

On our way back from Southwold to Ipswich I want to visit some pretty market towns....and if they have shops full of pretties - then even better!  So I need some recommendations pleeeeeease!!

  1. Southwold & Aldeburgh have pretty shops. Ipswich is mainly the normal high street ones. Bury St Edmunds has a nice mix - the original town has the nicest shops but thats probably out of the way for you.

BTW both fish & chips shops in Aldeburgh are owned by the same person - so go to the one with the shortest queue ;)

Woodbridge is probably worth a visit too - there's a rather lovely posh yarn shop on the Market Hill.

  2. I wouls say Woodbridge too. Head for the Thoroughfare and the Market Hill for lovely shops. If you fancy a walk by the river there are lovely houseboats to look at and icecreams, of course. It is quite near Ipswich and just off the A12 which is handy if you are coming back from/going to Southwold. I might be asking your advice in the summer as we are keen to visit Kent!

  3. I will post some photos on to you in the next few days regarding the room. What you have to bear in mind is that I lift in a awful military house so I have tried my hardest to detract from the style of house. I think I have managed to a large degree as decoration is all we can do to themxx

  4. Hi, thanks for all your comments! I am very lucky to live where I do, although we worked hard to get a little flat here! I love it, although would love a nice big house to decorate, we don't have enough space here lol! I'm glad you like my blog! Thank you for following! I hope you enjoy it! xx

  5. Thank you! I'm glad you like the table! We found it at a vintage emporium in St.Albans! I hope you find one too! x
